Presbyterian Youth Take Center Stage at Bwiteva for Children and Youth Sunday

BWITEVA, FAKO NORTH –Presbyterian Youth Take Center Stage at Bwiteva for Children and Youth Sunday. The sanctuary of the Presbyterian Church Bwiteva was transformed into a vibrant hub of spiritual energy and youthful talent on Sunday, February 8, as the congregation celebrated Children and Youth Sunday. In a powerful display of leadership, the youths of Bwiteva took full charge of the Divine Service, proving they are not just the future of the church, but its active present.

A Call to Spiritual Maturity

The spiritual highlight of the day was the sermon delivered by Mbah Flora, Vice President of the Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) Bwiteva. Speaking on the theme “Growing as Fruitful Seeds in God’s Word,” Flora delivered a stirring message that resonated with both young and old.

She emphasized that spiritual growth is not accidental but requires a deliberate connection to divine teachings. “To bear fruit that lasts,” she urged the congregation, “Christians must remain deeply rooted in biblical truths, resisting the distractions of a modern world that often lead away from the path of righteousness.”

Showcasing Talent and Tradition

Scriptural Mastery: Children and teenagers impressed the session with flawless recitations of memory verses, showcasing their commitment to internalizing scripture.

Musical Ministry: The air was filled with the harmony of rally songs, as youth choirs delivered spirited performances that moved the congregation to praise.

Cultural Brilliance: A highlight for many was the colorful traditional fashion parade. Youths processed in diverse attires, celebrating their heritage while dedicated to their faith, symbolizing the integration of African identity within the Christian life.

Leadership Commendation

The seamless execution of the service did not go unnoticed. Church leadership offered glowing commendations for the youths’ organization and spiritual depth. Elders noted that the level of preparation reflected a serious commitment to the CYF motto and the broader mission of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon.

“To see our children handle the liturgy, the music, and the Word with such grace gives us immense hope,” remarked one church official. “They haven’t just handled a service; they have led a revival.”

The celebration concluded with a sense of renewal, as the “fruitful seeds” of Bwiteva left the sanctuary ready to impact their communities with the lessons learned under the guidance of their peers.
