Bali Presbytery Calls for Improved Sunday School Structures
Bali Presbytery Calls for Improved Sunday School Structures. In Bali, Cameroon, Rev. Neba Muangu, the Presbyterial Secretary for the Bali Presbytery PCC, has issued a compelling call to action, urging congregations to prioritize the development of physical infrastructure for their Sunday Schools. Inspired by biblical passages such as Matthew 19:14, which emphasizes the importance of children in the eyes of God, and Haggai 1:4, which speaks to the need to prioritize God’s house, Rev. Muangu stressed that the condition of Sunday School facilities should reflect the value placed on the spiritual development of children.
During a recent tour of Sunday School Rally Centers throughout the Presbytery, Rev. Muangu observed firsthand the varying states of these facilities. He emphasized that children, considered precious and vital members of the church community, deserve environments conducive to worship and learning. He expressed concern that too often, Sunday School structures are relegated to substandard or incomplete buildings, a stark contrast to the attention and resources dedicated to main church buildings. This disparity, he argued, needs to be addressed.
Rev. Muangu’s tour included a visit to Bossah, where he witnessed the laying of a foundation stone for a new church house. He commended the Parish Pastor and the congregation for their initiative and hard work, expressing optimism that this new structure would soon provide a dedicated and appropriate space for children’s worship. His words served as an encouragement and a reminder of the importance of such projects.
Recognizing that these improvements require significant resources, Rev. Muangu appealed to the sons and daughters of Bali, both within Cameroon and in the diaspora. He urged them to actively support the children’s ministry through financial contributions and consistent prayer. He emphasized that collective effort is crucial to realizing the vision of improved Sunday School facilities across the Presbytery.
Rev. Muangu’s message is clear: enhancing Sunday School structures is not merely about bricks and mortar; it is about creating a more welcoming, inspiring, and functional environment for children to learn and grow in their faith. By investing in these spaces, the Bali Presbytery aims to demonstrate its commitment to nurturing the spiritual development of its youngest members and ensuring they have the tools they need to flourish. This initiative is seen as a vital step in strengthening the future of the church.
